Tree House Academy Child Care was founded by Mara Coelho in September of 2009. Owner and director, Mara has a passion and dedication to the field of Early Education. This passion and dedication, coupled with more than ten years of classroom and administrative experience, prompted her to create Tree House Academy.
The center is located in the Somerville/Cambridge area and provides the highest level of care to the children of local families as well as from the surrounding towns and cities in the Greater Boston, taking in children from eight weeks to five years. The center is independently owned and has no affiliation with other centers, local or nationwide and is within walking distance from Harvard University, Porter Square and MIT.
Born and raised in Brazil, Mara is a native Portuguese speaker and also has a broad knowledge of Spanish. Our team of educators is diverse and cosmopolitan, bringing bits of their own cultures to the center.
Our goal is to provide a healthy, safe and learning environment in which children can grow and develop with the nurturing support and guidance of our teachers, staff and parents. It is our commitment to provide the highest quality childcare and the best early education to the children and families we serve.
